Naruto opened his weak eyes to see nurses and doctors looking at him worriedly.
“Naruto-kun….are you ok?”
Naruto’s head was spinning rapidly, he breathed heavily.
There was a knock at the door.
A nurse ran to fetch it, it was all of the genins.
“Excuse me? May we see Naruto?” asked Sakura.
“I’m sorry, Sakura-san, Naruto-kun is still in critical condition…I need to tell you something….follow me…” said the nurse sadly.
Hinata looked at her feet frowning.
“Hinata…..don’t worry…..I’m sure he’ll be ok….” comforted Kiba putting his hand on her shoulder.
The nurse led them to a small room.
“Everyone….Me and the other doctors…..we think that Naruto-kun won’t survive….”
Gasps and tears filled the room.
“N-Naruto…..” whispered Shikamaru.
“Naruto!” cried Sakura.
“Naruto….” sighed Ino.
“Naruto.” mumbled Shino sadly.
“NARUTO-KUN!!!” wept Hinata.
At that moment, everyone suddenly realised that Hinata loved Naruto.
‘If Naruto will survive….they would make the cutest couple…..but that will only happen if Naruto survives. …’ thought Sakura.
Suddenly a doctor burst in.
“Rin-Chan! We have managed to stabilize Naruto-kun’s condition!! Only by a little though!!
We are able to let these genins in for 5 minutes!!
Go on, go see him!”
Everyone shot out of the room quickly.
But, someone pushed them out of the way.
“Naruto!!” cried the voice.
It was Jiraiya sobbing.
He stared at Naruto’s unmoving body.
He fell to his knees, and wept on top of Naruto.
“E-ero sennin ….” whispered Naruto weakly.
Jiraiya looked at Naruto’s dying face.
“NARUTO!! DON’T GO!! PLEASE!!” he screeched.
Naruto smiled, his eyes closed slowly.
“NARUTO!! DON’T DIE!!! PLEASE!!!” he roared.
Naruto opened his eyes, taking at least a minute.
Naruto glared into Jiraiya’s crying eyes.
“Don’t cry….I-is this what it was like for you….when the 4th died?” he asked curiously.
“After he died….he was brought here…..to the hospital….but he was already dead…..I don’t want to see another one of my students die!! So don’t!! DON’T!!”
Naruto smiled, he saw Hinata and the others by the door.
“H-Hinata….I’ve got to ask….w-why did you always blush?”
Hinata’s eyes filled with tears.
“Because….I….I…”
But, it was too late.
Naruto was dead.
Jiraiya was screaming, sobbing.
He touched Naruto’s cold face.
Chapter 2
No-one could sleep that night. Hinata felt terrible for not letting Naruto know why she blushed.
‘I’m sorry….Naruto-kun….’ she thought.
‘I loved you!! I always loved you! And now….you’ve gone…’
Chouji knocked on Shikamaru’s door.
“Chouji….C-come in….”
They both went up to Shikamaru’s bedroom.
“Do you know why Naruto died? Was he on a mission
Or something?” asked Chouji.
Shikamaru shrugged.
“He….never fulfilled his dream……he never became hokage!!” cried Shikamaru.
“He will be hokage to me….” whispered Chouji.
“Me too!!” agreed Shikamaru.
Sakura was talking to her parents.
“He should have died!!
He’s the one who has “it” in him!!” cried Sakura’s mother.
“Mother!!
Stop it!! Leave me alone!” shouted Sakura.
“Tomorrow is Naruto’s funeral! I hope you come!”
Chapter 3
The funeral was horrible.
People were smirking and grinning happily, the little kids were wondering why they were so happy.
One by one, everyone put their flowers on Naruto’s coffin.
Everyone went home and were unhappy for the rest of their lives.
When Tsunade was going to pick a new hokage, she was struggling.
She was going to pick Naruto, but he was dead.
She eventually picked Konaharmaru.
