Rumor Busters:Avril Lavigne is 6 weeks pregnant
It seems like everyone in hollywood seems to have a baby hanging around, almost like it's in fashion! Every week people always ask "is that one pregnant?" "she looks like she gained a few pounds". A while ago a canadian radio host Zack Taylor wrote, "Avril is a month-and-a-half pregnant and that her husband, Deryck Whibley has been telling all his friends that he's excited to be a father." Six weeks pregnant would mean that she was pregnant on New Years Eve when we saw her drinking Cristal from the bottle at Club Prive. Hopefully a pregnant woman wouldn't do that. Avril's rep denied the rumors saying "It's not true." Avril Lavigne has said she wants children "somewhere down the road" but she's focusing on her career right now.
The Dealth of Heath Ledger
the famous actor 28-year-old Heath Ledger was found naked and dead in his SoHo apartment yesterday after he apparently overdosed on anti-anxiety pills. Ledger was found by his maid and the masseuse with whom he had a scheduled 3 p.m. appointment at his loft. When the two women entered his bedroom at about 3:20 p.m., Ledger was nude, lying face down and unresponsive, police sources said. Bottles of the generic forms of Xanax and Valium, both anti-anxiety drugs prescribed in his name, were found in the house, according to law-enforcement sources.
The sleeping drug Ambien was also found near his body, sources said. "Heath was shattered by his split from Michelle. He became a recluse. He barely slept. He was dealing with terrible mood swings," a source told the Mail's Web site. "Heath totally wanted to be on his own these past few months since he and Michelle split in September. She was very much in love with him, but the fact that he continued to dabble in drugs kept their relationship from being one she could rely on," said the source. Heath might have took multiple drugs to deal with his depression of the split and so he could sleep better. "We are investigating the possibility of an overdose," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. Marilyn Manson is divorced
On Thursday Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, and Von Teese, whose real name is Heather Sweet, were "restored to the status of single persons," according to a judgment filed in Superior Court. Von Teese filed divorce papers nearly a year ago, citing irreconcilable differences for the split. The pair married in November 2005. Manson counter-filed for divorce last Friday in an attempt to block Von Teese from being awarded spousal support, although the burlesque performer did not request it when she filed her own divorce petition Dec. 29.
Marilyn Manson told Spin magazine "She said she had tolerated the lifestyle because she hoped I would change and threatened to leave if I didn't," he said. Jamie Lynn Spears is Pregnant
The 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears,sister to Britney Spears,is pregnant. Jamie Lynn and her mother confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine, saying she was 12 weeks along and the father is Jamie Lynn's longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge, 19, whom she met at church. Jamie says she plans to keep the baby. "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn told OK!. Jamie Lynn told OK! that after confirming the pregnancy with a home test and a subsequent doctor's visit, she told only one friend. Then She waited two weeks before telling anybody else, including her parents. She Brooke the news to her parents just before Thanksgiving. Surprisingly K-fed found out before Britney because Lynn Spears told K-fed first and not Britney. At the same time, Britney predicted Jamie Lynn would be better at handling fame than she was."I think she’ll be able to handle the whole thing better than me," Britney told Access at the time. "I was just brought into it, she’s kind of grown up with it. She’s surrounded by the whole business since she a really young girl. If anything I’m gonna try to get advice from her! She’s stubborn. New species of snake
A new species of giant spitting cobra, measuring nearly nine feet and possessing enough venom to kill at least 15 people, has been discovered in Kenya. The cobras were the world's largest and had been identified as unique. The species has been named Naja Ashei after James Ashe, who founded Bio-Ken snake farm on Kenya's tropical coast where the gigantic serpents are found. "Naja Ashei is responsible for a very serious snake bite," he told Reuters by telephone from the farm. "People don't care about saving snakes. They talk of saving dolphins or cats, but never snakes!"

Serbia has been accused of presiding over the systematic abuse of mentally disabled patients after a rights group investigation revealed appalling conditions and treatment in the country's institutions. Cyclone Devastates Bangladesh
A tropical cyclone ripped through the western coast of Bangladesh. Killing more then 1,700 people, and the toll is expected to rise. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates was expected to approve plans to send up to three Marine Corps amphibious warships, with up to 3,500 Marines, to locations off the coast of Bangladesh to assist in relief efforts.
Whale Found in Brazil
An 18-foot minke whale(weighing in at about 12 tons!) was found lodged on a sandbar in the Amazon jungle about 1,000 miles from the ocean. Dozens of people gathered along the Tapajos River splashing water on the animal, whose back and dorsal fin were exposed to the hot Amazon sun. People are working to dislodge the mammal and return it to the ocean. "It apparently got separated from its group and swam upstream," biologist Fabio Luna said It's very unusual."
Arrest Made in Oprah School
A dormitory employee (27 years old) has been arrested on several charges. Charges including alleged assault, indecent assault, crimen injuria and soliciting girls under age to perform indecent acts are being investigated against her. The parents shoudn't complain about the junk food because it's only sensible to keep the girls healthy. Also in March the parents had to go through a security gate. Again this was done for the wellbeing of the girls. The parents need to see this is best thing for these children, it's giving the children a better tomorrow. Nicole and Joel are eying a September 21 wedding date because not only will it be Nicole's 26th birthday, but Good Charlotte also has a 19 day break from touring.

The LA Times is reporting that ABC plans to hire Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd as the new 'View' hosts. According to the Times, negotiations are under way with Goldberg and Shepherd and an official announcement is expected next week. Both Goldberg and Shepherd have appeared on 'The View' as guest hosts. The pair beat out several other rumored replacements including Kathy Griffin, Roseanne Barr and Mario Cantone. Goldberg and Shepherd will be replacing former 'View' personalities Rosie O'Donnell and Star Jones.Rosie (who replaced the outgoing Meredith Vieira)left the 'View' before her one-year contract ended after an on-screen fight with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck turned nasty.
