I love a happy ending. They are so rare.
Greetings! I'm Aro, the one and only leader of the legendary Volturi. I live in Volterra, Italy with my coven, or family, whichever you prefer. I possess the gift of telepathy, much like young Edward's, but I must have contact with you and, unlike Edward, I can see every thought or memories you have ever had. I was born 1300 BC and was transformed soon after. Obviously, I am a vampire, which means my skin is pale and my eyes are either black or red, depending on my level of thirst. I only feed on humans. Approximately a decade after having been transformed by an unknown source, I changed my sister, Didyme, with hope she would posses extraordinary abilities. However, to my disappointment the only extra abilities she had was the power to make people happy. My friend, Marcus, had fallen in love with my sister not short after her transformation and, to my utter astonishment, she fell for him, too. Back then I had great dreams to rule the vampire world, and collect a coven of many vampires to take over. However, Marcus and Didyme did not seem content with being involved with it. So, in order to prevent them leaving, I killed my beloved sister. Marcys was, of course, devastated and has been ever since. To this day, he has never found out what I did, and I had already transformed a young woman named Chelsea, who was able to use her ability to ensure Marcus remained loyal to myself and the Volturi. By 500 AD, we had usurped control of the vampire world from the Romanian Coven. I ruled the Volturi, along with Marcus and Caius, though I generally acted as spokesperson. The Volturi, under our leadership, set down laws of the vampire world and severly punished those who did not adhere to them, and have been doing so ever since those laws were put in place. Carlisle Cullen came to live with us for a short time and he and I became great friends. But I cannot lie, I was quite alarmed at Carlisle's said "vegetarianism" and I believed it would weaken him over time. Carlisle then eventually left in hope of finding other vampires like himself. Now that my little introduction is over, I hope we will become great friends. Please don't hesitate to come and talk to me :) I won't bite...
