I hope you didn't press the number three at the top on the keyboard it's the number 3 where the numb lock is I tried to press alt and that three at the top of the page it didn't work for me at all but make sure numb lock is on
now from I read it says only Microsoft windows can only do alt codes
if you are using windows then this link will show you how to do it..

now if you have a different operating system then windows then you would go here..and click on your system that you have
